Emergency Preparedness Technology
Responding to emergency needs and providing disaster recovery is a major challenge. When devastation from such incidents is so great that local resources cannot handle the response and recovery efforts, local governments turn to state and federal agencies for assistance.
Our Mission Statement
The mission of the Emergency Preparedness Technology program is to provide students effective instruction and essential skills to prepare them with a foundation of technical and professional knowledge needed for emergency services delivery in local, state, and federal government agencies.
The course of study involves both management and technical aspects of law enforcement, fire protection, emergency medical services, and emergency management.
CCC&TI offers three different educational opportunities in this area:
- A.A.S. Degree - Emergency Preparedness Technology
- Certificate - Preparedness & Mitigation
- Certificate - Response & Recovery
The Emergency Preparedness Technology program is an online program that can be completed in as little as two years. Coursework includes activities that encompass mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery related to any kind of disaster–whether natural, technological, or national security. Emergency Preparedness means being prepared for all kinds of emergencies, able to respond in a time of crisis to save lives and property, and to help a community–or even a nation–return to normal life after a disaster occurs.
